i´m an visual artist from germany, drawing strange things in my freetime

i drew a lot in my childhood, mostly stuff from video games and other things i liked

sometime around 2014/2015 i started to take art more serious, started to experiment and began to develop my personal style

i personally don´t really know what style my art belongs to. i usually describe it as abstract or obscure

a big part for me is just the process of drawing, letting my mind wander while the pen drifts across the paper

i usually have some vague idea/feeling i want to put on paper, but the shape it ultimatly takes on happens to be mostly spontaneous while i´m drawing

best way to describe it is probably "vibes-based"

but there are also many artworks i did with a lot of intenionality, which i want to do more of in the future

i have a somewhat complicated relationship with sharing my art

the idea of becoming a successful artist was a big motivation for me, but the harder i tried to be "successful" the less fun i had doing art.

where and how to share my art, the image of me as an artist was always a struggle for me

its been a long time since i realised that no matter how many compliments or likes i would get for an artwork, the best feeling about my art always came from myself. nothing could beat the pride and happiness i got from looking at my own art

in a perfect world, i wouldn´t feel the need to share my art, since i get most out of it from myself, and all my drawings are for myself. but "sadly" i still feel the urge to have my art seen by the world

thats why i created this website. no timeline or algorithm of some social media site. just a place to dump my art for maby some people to stumble upon. so even though my art is for myself i still know its out there able to be seen
